Day 76: Analysis of throwing stuffPosted: January 3, 2013
Today I asked students to present what they learned yesterday. Turns out that what I wanted them to get out of it, which was mainly that angled projectile motion works the same way as horizontal, was so obvious to them that they didn’t really know what to present. I feel like (totally anecdotally) that I have never had classes who buy on the whole (and easily, at that) that horizontal motion is CV until modeling. They also seemed to have no problem with composition of the initial velocity from the x and y velocities after doing forces.
