Day 111: Student Energy Lab DesignsPosted: March 11, 2013
In College Physics students are designing their own labs to investigate energy transfer. Most are doing verification labs by coming up with a new situation, modeling it with energy transfer, then testing their equation by manipulating one variable and measuring another as a result. A few groups are looking into E_therm by using their equations to calculate E_therm, then graphing it as a variable like drop height is changed. This is a blast; students came up with great processes to investigate, and it appears as though they are doing a great job setting up and collecting the data. We’ll see in a couple of days!
